PRIOR to his double in Birmingham’s 4-1demolition of Norwich last weekend, Marvin Ducksch had largely failed to justify the hype that greeted his £1.7m transfer from Werder Bremen.
Signed in August following the Blues’ failed pursuit of Chuba Akpom, the 31-year-old striker had averaged 17 goal contributions per season over the previous three Bundesliga campaigns and won two caps for Germany.
