Bogle focused on Grimsby amid transfer speculation

Omar Bogle has said he is totally focused on playing for amid rumoured interest from club’s higher up the footballing pyramid.

It is an amazing run of form for a player who has only ever plied his trade in non-league at clubs such as Hinckley Town and Solihull Moors, so it is no surprise to see his quick adjustment to life in the EFL turning a few heads.

teams such as and , who both have genuine promotion aspirations this season, are thought to be keen on the 23-year-old’s services, but Bogle told the Grimsby Telegraph: “You can’t do anything about speculation. It is what it is.”

“I haven’t paid too much attention to it to be honest.”

It has been a meteoric rise for the striker who failed to make a first-team appearance when a youth player at , or Celtic and only joined Grimsby last year.

However, Bogle himself is keeping his feet firmly on the ground, and concentrating on helping Grimsby, who are currently 12th in League Two and only four points off the , climb the table.

“At the end of the day, it [the speculation] just means I’m doing something right for the team,” Bogle added.

“Long may that continue. I just want to keep working hard and doing the right things.

“As a young player that’s doing okay for his team, there will be speculation.”
