Fulham plan to offer teenage winger Patrick Roberts a new contract in order to rebuff interest from a number of circling Premier League clubs.
Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in the youth product who attracted attention in the scouting network by guiding England U17's to the European Championship last season, scoring three goals and four assists.
After promising displays in Fulham's academy Roberts broke into the first team under Felix Magath before continuing to impress under current boss Kit Symons.
The 18 year-old has made 19 appearances for the Craven Cottage side, the majority of them from the substitutes bench with two starts.
“Pat will be offered a new contract. We will look to tie up our best young players and he's a fantastic prospect,” said Symons.
With the West London club in freefall and still not mathematically safe from relegation to League One, Symons is biding his time before allowing Roberts to take centre stage.
He added: “It's a little bit early for him to play Championship football in the position we're in.
“He's a sensible lad. He wants to play, of course he does, I'd be a bit worried if he didn't. But he understands the situation and the predicament of the club.
“There's no reason other than me picking a team to get the results which will keep us in this division, then we can build for next season.”
