The Carabao Cup second-round draw has been made, with Premier League clubs entering the competition and discovering their first opponents ahead of a potential cup run this season.
The draw remains regionalised into Northern and Southern sections, with the competition split between the two until the third round, when the remaining nine top-flight sides involved in European competitions enter.
Charlton Athletic and Luton Town will not have to travel too far for their ties, with the latter heading to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea and the former taking on Tottenham Hotspur.
West Bromwich Albion take on Matthias Jaissle’s Newcastle United, while Preston North End welcome Everton to Deepdale for David Moyes’ return to the club where he began his managerial career.
Leicester City, now in League One, face a trip to Ipswich Town, while Birmingham City welcome Brentford to St Andrew’s.
West Ham United, who beat Portsmouth in Saturday’s first round, will travel to fellow Championship side Southampton, while AFC Wimbledon face a short trip across London to take on Fulham.
The second-round ties are scheduled to take place in the week commencing August 24, with the full draw below.
