In League One, Liam Manning’s tenure at Huddersfield Town got off to a winning start as they beat West Yorkshire rivals Bradford City 1-0.

Meanwhile, in League Two, Fleetwood Town announced the departure of manager Pete Wild, while Newport County grabbed a crucial win over Chesterfield in their battle for survival.
