NORTHAMPTON Town have won the race to sign Non-League’s latest hotshot – and even managed to lure him away from his teaching job.
Striker Matty Warburton has become Keith Curle’s first summer recruit after bagging 27 goals for Stockport County this season as they won the National League North title.
He scored at Huish Park as County sunk Yeovil Town in the FA Cup first round while also reaching the semi-finals of the FA Trophy.
