Claude Dielna departs Sheffield Wednesday for Slovakia

Sheffield Wednesday defender Claude Dielna has completed a move to Slovakian champions Slovan Bratislava  on loan until the end of the season.

Dielna joined the Owls from Olympiacos in August 2014 and made 25 appearances for the club last season but has yet to represent them this campaign.

Slovan Bratislava are the most successful club in Slovakian history and have won their domestic title twice in the last three years. Their run looks under threat this season however as they currently trial the league leaders Trencin by seven points.

Dielna still has one year left on his contract at Hillsbrough and it is not yet clear whether his loan move to the Slovakian capital is with a view to a permanent deal.
