Preston North End defender Calum Woods has put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him at Deepdale until the end of the 2017/2018 season.
The 28 year old told the club’s official website “I’m delighted to have signed a new deal and I’m looking forward to the next couple of seasons here”
The Liverpool-born defender made 72 appearances for Huddersfield Town before joining The Lilywhites on a free transfer in June 2014.
Woods has had a solid start to the season and has made 14 appearances for the Championship side so far this campaign.
Manager Simon Grayson expressed his delight at Woods’ decision to commit his future to the club be telling reporters, “Calum is the type of player that managers love to have in their squads.”
After winning promotion last season Preston are currently sitting in 17th place in the Championship and face Paul Lambert‘s Blackburn on Saturday.
