CUP WOE WON’T ENTANGLE NOTTS

NOTTS County boss Martin Paterson is confident his troops can put a double dose of cup disappointment behind them and go again in a League Two promotion dogfight.
The Magpies suffered an agonising FA Cup first round exit at the hands of National League outfit Brackley Town last weekend, going out 4-3 on penalties after seeing Saints take the game to extra-time with a penalty deep in stoppage time which made it 2-2.
A few days later, Notts fell 2-0 at home against Manchester United U21s in the Vertu Trophy, dashing any hopes they had of reaching the knockout stages.
