Patience pays off as Bromley striker proves his worth in Football League

MICHAEL Cheek has enjoyed a memorable maiden season in the Football League with Bromley – and being named the League Two Player of the Season has put the icing on the cake.
The experienced marksman had to be patient to earn his EFL shot. Despite notching up just over 150 league goals in almost a decade in the National League with Braintree, Dagenham & Redbridge, Ebbsfleet and the Ravens, the chance to show what he could do in the top 92 never materialised.
