Defender Laing returns to Notts County

have signed Motherwell defender Louis Laing on loan for a second time.

Laing, 23, originally spent three months at Meadow Lane in 2014, when he was a Nottingham player, and has rejoined the side until January 16th.

He made 12 appearances for the in his first stint, and helped the club to six clean sheets, before retuning to his parent club.

Laing said: “Last time I was here I played what I felt was my best .

“I love the fans and I love the club. That was one of the main factors – the belief the fans have in me – but the main thing for me was that the manager wanted me here.

“I want County to be a success – to go back up – and I feel there’s a really good possibility of that.”

Despite joining Motherwell permanently after a successful loan spell there, he only went on to make a further 15 appearances for the club and admitted he never really wanted to leave Notts County.

“I tried my hardest to get back and I don’t know why it didn’t happen – I pushed it as hard as I could because I loved being here – but I’m back now and fingers crossed it will be successful.”
