Coventry City have confirmed that versatile midfielder Chris Eagles is training with their first team.
Eagles, 29, is a free agent after his six-month contract with Charlton Athletic expired in June; a short spell that totalled 15 appearances for the Addicks.
The former Manchester United, Burnley, and Bolton man will add to the midfield ranks, alongside promising loanee Ryan Kent, should he win himself a contract for the Sky Blues. And a deal could be close with young starlet James Maddison sidelined until January.
Eagles most successful season came in 2012 with Bolton in the Premier League where he made 7 assists in 22 appearances for the Trotters. Though, the season proved only a personal success as the club was relegated after finishing in 18th place.
