SHREWSBURY Town are finally poised to be taken over after an American consortium was granted regulatory approval to buy the League Two side.
Long-serving owner Roland Wycherley first put the club on the market in 2024 but a succession of attempted takeovers have since collapsed.
In June, a club statement reported that terms had been agreed with the unnamed American consortium.
