Championship

Middlesbrough have taken over Coventry City at the summit of the Championship, following a sixth consecutive league victory in their 2-1 win away at Sheffield United on Monday night.

Elsewhere in the division, Watford have appointed Javi Garcia’s successor, with Edward Still, brother of former Southampton manager Will Still, taking charge at Vicarage Road.

We take a look at Leicester City’s situation with their six-point deduction, and rumours surrounding the Foxes’ links to Gary Rowett, who is also a speculated target for Blackburn Rovers, whilst also discussing Sheffield Wednesday’s looming relegation.

League One

In League One, Wigan Athletic announced the departure of manager Ryan Lowe following their 6-1 defeat to Peterborough United at the weekend, with Exeter City boss Gary Caldwell linked with a return to the club.

Bradford City stumbled once again in their bid to cement a spot in the play-offs as they recorded a fourth defeat in five games following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Luton Town.

League Two

Finally, in League Two, Harrogate Town ended their 21-game league winless run after they bested Cambridge United 2-1 on home soil, while Walsall’s hopes of breaking into the playoffs took another dent as they were beaten 3-1 by Barnet, and Bromley recorded an important 2-1 win over Fleetwood Town to maintain their five point advantage at the top of the table.
