TONY Pulis hopes John Obi Mikel’s “winning mentality” can help Middlesbrough achieve promotion.
The former Chelsea midfielder, 31, has joined the Championship side until the end of the season.
The Nigeria international won two Premier League titles and the Champions League during an 11-year stay at Chelsea.
Mikel captained Nigeria at last summer’s World Cup and last played for Tianjin TEDA, but had been a free agent since November.
