York bring in striker Lewis Alessandra on loan

have signed striker Lewis Alessandra on a one-month loan deal from side .

Alessandra has found the net once in 11 appearances for Rochdale so far this season after joining from last summer.

The 27-year-old began his career at and went to have spell with before his move to Home Park.

Alessandra found his best form with Plymouth, scoring 25 goals over two seasons. He was offered a new deal with the Pilgrims at the end of last season but opted to link up with at Rochdale.

York are currently embroiled in a fight to stay in , losing to rivals Dagenham & Redbridge last weekend, to see them stay 23rd in the relegation zone, five points adrift of safety.

The Minstermen play at home on Saturday where Alessandra is set to make his debut.
