James Pearson signs contract with Barnet

Defender James Pearson has signed a contract with until the end of next season.

The 23-year-old joined Barnet on non-contract terms at the start of February but has impressed manager enough in his five appearances to be offered a deal.

The former Leicester man is the son of and was sacked by following an incident on the club's pre-season tour to Thailand.

Pearson told Barnet's official club website, “I'm looking forward to keeping up the good work in the rest of the games this season, then pushing on next year.”

Following promotion to last season Barnet have had a productive first season back in the League and are currently sitting in a respectable 15th place.

Martin Allen's side face relegation threatened at the Hive Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
