First match?
I grew up in Ireland, so it would’ve been Gaelic before soccer. The first memory of anything was probably when I was on trial with Celtic – I went to see Celtic play Liverpool at Celtic Park, which was probably in the UEFA Cup back then.
I would’ve been 13 or 14, and that’s the first memory I have of watching teams in an actual stadium.
I remember going with my brother, who’s a big Liverpool fan, and hearing the fans singin...
