Former Arsenal defender Justin Hoyte has joined Dagenham and Redbridge on a non-contract basis. The 30 year-old, who made 68 appearances at Arsenal during his six years at the club, was at Millwall last season but struggled for first-team action.
Daggers manager Wayne Burnett expressed his delight at bringing in the former Premier League defender, telling the club’s official website, “Justin has been training with us for three weeks now and he’s a player with vast experience. He’s played at the top level and will bring something to our group.”
Burnett’s team have struggled in League Two this season but will be hoping the acquisition of the Trinidad and Tobago international could be the catalyst for a push up the table.
Hoyte could make his Dagenham debut when they face high flying Mansfield at Victoria Road on Saturday.
