Hartlepool sign future prospect

side , announced their tenth signing of the summer with the arrival of promising young ‘keeper Peter Denton, 18.

After making no appearances for side in two years he was finally released.

The former trainee is seen as future number one by Pools manager Ronnie Moore, “Peter is only 18 and he’s a prospect, we see him as maybe being number one here one day.”

Having never made a league appearance Moore explained that experience is vital for Denton’s development so the next step for him is to be loaned out.

“It will be non-league he goes to. A league club won’t take him, he’s 18 and never had a game. He needs to get into the rough and tumble of non league, he needs grown-up not Under 18 games.”

Moore then explained that it was former Pools keeper Andy Dibble who influenced him to sign the former ‘keeper as he “comes highly recommended.”
