Having been named in last season’s PFA League Two Team of the Year as a teenager, George Abbott is determined to prove he is one of the best players a division higher during the final weeks of this term.

In a stellar first full campaign as a senior pro on loan at Notts County from Tottenham Hotspur, Abbott also won the EFL Goal of the Season award following a spectacular strike against Accrington.
His hopes of emulating such personal accolades in League One have been severely hindered by two spells on the sidelines – caused by quad and calf injuries.
