Leyton Orient boss Richie Wellens has challenged injured striker Aaron Connolly to fire the O’s into the Championship upon his return.
The Irish international burst onto the scene as a teenager at Brighton and scored two Premier League goals on his debut against Spurs.
But his career was derailed by alcohol addiction and he spent a month in rehab after leaving Hull in the summer of 2024.
Subsequent spells at Sunderland and Millwall were unsuccessful, but a move to Brisbane Road this summer has proved transformative.
