midfielder Franck Moussa was overjoyed to score his first goal for the club in Saturday's victory over .

The 27-year-old, who joined the club in the summer, was recalled to the starting line up for the weekend's clash at the Banks's Stadium, and made the most of his opportunity.

As well as netting the winner with a close-range finish early in the first half, Moussa grabbed an assist when he cleverly knocked down a deep corss to set up Simeon Jackson's 17th minue opener.

After nine appearances, the Belgian's performance on Saturday was the best he has delivered since joining the Saddler's, and he revealed it all came as a relief.

He told the club's website: “I'm desperate to do well for this club and to score my first goal in front of the home fans was something I will cherish.

“I was delighted to score and I felt it was a bit of pressure off my back.

“As an attacking player, I feel I need to contribute to the attacking play of the team and I'm at a stage now where I am really looking to kick on.

“Scoring a goal as well, I'm raring to go for the next game, with confidence and a desire to do well again.

“It was a good thing the team won because every player who played in this game will be looking to perform again and those who didn't play will be looking to emulate the same kind of performance if called upon.”
