Chris Wilder has made his first moves as Sheffield United boss by bringing in midfielder Mark Duffy and full-back Chris Hussey.
Duffy joins from Birmingham City and has League One experience having been part of the Burton side that won promotion to the Championship last season.
Meanwhile Hussey joins from Bury having made nearly 100 appearances for the Shakers since joining in the club in 2014.
Wilder was named as the Blades' boss at the start of the month after talks with Charlton Athletic broke down.
At the time of his appointment the 48-year-old said, “Of course this is my dream job. Hopefully it will be a great period of my footballing career.
“I'm determined to get the club going forward and I understand the responsibility and the history.
“I'm ready for the challenge. As soon as this club made the telephone call it was a complete no-brainer. I wouldn't have been able to sleep at night if I had turned this down.”
