Pines plans to stand tall for the Tykes

USA international Donovan Pines is aiming to be a leader for new club Barnsley.
The League One side announced yesterday that the 25-year-old centre-back had arrives at Oakwell on a free transfer following a four-year spell with MLS outfit DC United.
Standing at 6ft 5ins, Pines made 87 league appearances United and he has also been capped twice by the United States.
“I’m really excited to be here,” he told the club website. “There is a lot of history here, since 1887, and I’m really excited to put my foot in the water and test it and do the best I can for the club.
