Barnsley to let forward trio leave

will not be renewing the contract of striker Simeon Jackson, who will leave the club when his deal expires on 3 January.

Manager also confirmed the club will not be taking up options to buy Conor Wilkinson, on loan from , or Michael , on loan from , and the pair will return to their parent clubs by 5 January.

Canadian international Jackson has made 9 appearances since joining the in September – the majority from the bench.

Of Wilkinson and Smith, only the Bolton man has scored netting against in the 3-1 defeat on the season’s opening day.

Elsewhere in 19th-place Barnsley’s squad, full-back Reece Wabara is on the verge of leaving the club with his contract set to expire on New Year’s Eve, though Lee is eager to secure the former man.
