Cole joins Coventry on loan

today confirmed the signing of former international Joe Cole on loan from until 22 November.

The 33 year-old has gained 56 caps for England and has won the , Cup and League Cup with . Cole was also named Chelsea’s player of the year in 2008.

Sky manager expressed his delight at the transfer, telling reporters “I’m sure he’ll have a fantastic impact

“He has watched us play several times this season. He likes the way we play and has shown a real enthusiasm to come.”

Cole was in the stands to watch Coventry’s 0-0 draw with on Saturday and the club have announced that the midfielder will wear the number 14 shirt during his time at the Richoh Arena.

The new signing will be eligible to against at Spotland tomorrow night.
