Port Vale bring in two loan signings

Port Vale have completed the signing of Neill Collins and Francisco Junior before the loan transfer window shuts today.

Both players have joined until the end of the season with the Valiants suspended between the play-offs and relegation in 15th place, seven points adrift of 6th place and six clear of the drop zone.

Neill Collins joins from Sheffield United having been out of the Blade’s side for most of the season, making his last appearance in October.

He does bring some much needed experience to Vale having won the Championship twice in stints with Sunderland and Wolves.

In the midfield, Rob Page has also acted to sign Everton winger Francisco Junior. The 23 year-old moved to England to join the Toffees in 2012 having learnt his trade in the Benfica youth system.

Both players are eligible for this weekend’s away trip to Brisbane Road, where they face Leyton Orient.
