SUNDERLAND manager Regis Le Bris made five changes to his side for the visit of Stoke City but insisted he had been committed to the tie as the Black Cats suffered a 1-0 defeat.
He blamed his side’s defeat on a slow start, adding that he thought his team deserved to clinch the game in the second half of normal time.
He said: “We started a bit slowly.
“After that, we were in the game we wanted to play.
“After the first goal, with the team we had today we played good football and we tried until the end to score.
