Birmingham City chairman Tom Wagner says their planned new 62,000-capacity stadium reflects the club’s ‘ambition to compete at the highest level’.
Blues’ owners Knighthead Capital Management unveiled the new Birmingham Powerhouse Stadium design, developed by Heatherwick Studio and MANICA Architecture, on Thursday.
Located in Bordesley Green in East Birmingham, it is set to become a major new city landmark that reflects the region’s industrial heritage while embracing cutting-edge engineering.
