Bristol City boss Lee Johnson said he learned a lot from Tuesday's match against Sheffield Wednesday, despite his side's last-gasp defeat, saying he now knows ‘who can't quite handle the pressure.'
The Robins were 2-0 up thanks to first half goals from Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham, and Sheffield Wednesday's patchy form looked like it was set to continue.
Steve Fletcher got one back for the Owls seven minutes into the second half, but after Hutchinson was sent-off for hauling down Abraham in the box, it was down to Lee Tomlin to re-establish City's two goal lead.
However, he thumped his spot-kick against the post, and Gary O'Neill was sent off just seconds later as Wednesday launched a counter attack.
Johnson said: “There was a turning point in the game. You couldn't make it up, it's like a bad dream.
“What we have showed is that we can go to a real intense environment and really silence everyone, especially for 45 minutes.”
With both teams having 10 men, Barry Bannan equalised for Carlos Carvalhal's side with 15 minutes remaining as his long range strike dipped and swerved past Richard O'Donnell in the City goal.
And with seconds left on the clock, it was then Kieran Lee who turned the match on its head, sweeping home a 96th minute winner to send Hillsborough into raptures.
It was a bitter to pill to swallow for Johnson, who ominously said: “Whether you win or lose, you always learn from it. It's taught me, I know who can't quite handle the pressure and that's interesting.”
