SHEFFIELD Wednesday are down to the bare bones for the visit of Derby as the packed schedule takes its toll on Henrik Pedersen’s wafer-thin squad.
Barry Bannan was withdrawn at half-time in Tuesday’s 1-1draw with Watford, with Pedersen explaining that the talismanic skipper had suffered a tight groin.
The 36-year-old Scot is one of several players nursing injuries, and of the 14 senior players available to face Derby it is thought less than ten are capable of playing the full 90 minutes.
