Pierre Sage in running to land coveted QPR role

Former Lyon boss Pierre Sage is the surprise early favourite to take charge at QPR following the departure of Marti Cifuentes.
Sage, 45, held several coaching roles in his native France before becoming manager of Ligue 1 giants Lyon in 2023.
He secured a sixth-place finish and Europa League qualification last season but was sacked in January after failing to mount a title challenge.
In an interview with the Athletic last month, Sage said it was his “dream” to work in England and specifically made reference to the Championship.
