SUNDERLAND defender Jensen Seelt could be sidelined for the rest of 2024 after scans revealed a serious knee injury.
The 20-year-old Dutchman picked up the injury during Sunderland’s 4-2 defeat at Southampton earlier this month but managed to complete the full 90 minutes.
However, scans subsequently revealed significant ligament damage and Seelt will now undergo an operation that will keep him out for six to nine months.
