Jerome Thomas fails to win contract with Ipswich

have repordadly decided not to offer Jerome Thomas a contract at the club.

The 32-year-old had been training with the but manager has decided that his future lies elsewhere

Thomas came through the academy before joining Athletic for £100,000 in 2004.

The midfielder was a real hit at the Valley and made over 100 appearences for the South London club before joining for an undisclosed fee in 2008.

Spells with , and followed but Thomas has now been without a club since July last year.

Thomas was on trail with SPL club Hearts in the summer but the two parties failed to agree terms of a potential contract at Tyncastle.
