BIG THINGS EXPECTED OF McCANN

PRESTON boss Frankie McAvoy heaped praise on Ali McCann after he returned from injury with a sparkling display against Liverpool.
The midfielder, 21, joined from St Johnstone on deadline day and had settled well before a three-week spell out with an ankle knock.
McAvoy said of McCann’s display in the Carabao Cup defeat to the Reds: “He was excellent, a top player.
“We knew that when we were getting him and I’m delighted we could get that deal done. He’ll be a fantastic player for us. He’s a gem of a player and hopefully he’s got a big future here.”
