STOKE boss Gary Rowett is confident Tom Ince will not face an extended spell on the sidelines following a hernia operation.
Ince completed the full 90 minutes of the goalless draw against Middlesbrough last Saturday, but has been troubled by the problem for a few weeks.
The 26-year-old underwent surgery on Tuesday and missed the trip to Nottingham Forest, but Rowett hopes Ince could recover in time to be involved again following the international break.
