OUTBURST: Jeff Stelling

JEFF Stelling doesn’t believe his television outburst caused Hartlepool boss Dave Jones’ dismisssal.
With Pools battling to avoid relegation from the Football League for the first time in their 109-year history, TV presenter Stelling, speaking live on Sky Sports, called for Jones, who led Cardiff to the FA Cup final in 2008, to walk away from his position or be fired immediately after a 2-0 defeat to Barnet last Saturday.
