Derby County have signed Ligue 1 winger Abdoul Camara from Angers for a fee of £1.25m.
The Guinea international makes the move across the English Channel on a three-and-half-year contract from the French league's surprise package this season in 3rd place Angers.
Camara, 25, can also play up front and told BBC Radio Derby: “I am happy to be here. Playing in England is my dream. I am ready to be here.
“I am a quick player. I like dribbling and to make a difference to the team but I also like to defend.”
“I know Derby are a team who have ambition and I have ambition. I want to help the team go to the Premier League,” said Camara, who has scored 2 goals in 14 appearances this season for Angers.
The new signing has played most of his career in France, beginning with Rennes and moving on to Sochaux where he made 47 appearances and then crossing the borders to play for Greek side PAOK and Spanish club Mallorca.
The Rams hold an automatic promotion spot in 2nd place in the Championship, one point clear of rivals Hull City, after a six-game unbeaten run during December.
