Bristol City have made their second loan signing of the day, bringing in Simon Cox from Reading until January 3rd.
The 28 year-old striker joined Reading from Nottingham Forrest in July 2014 and has made six appearances for the Royals this season.
Cox enjoyed his best form when playing for Swindon, where he scored 35 goals in 62 appearances, which earned him a move to the Premier League's West Bromwich Albion in 2009.
After bringing in Elliot Bennett on loan from Norwich earlier today, Bristol now have six loan players with Ben Hamer, Liam Moore, Nathan Baker and Callum Robinson all at Ashton Gate on a temporary basis.
A potential selection headache for Steve Cotterill could come from the fact that Championship clubs are not allowed to name more than five loan players in their match day squad.
Bristol City have had a difficult start to the season following promotion last season and currently find themselves bottom of the league. They face Nottingham Forrest at Ashton Gate next Friday.
