WHING GOES AS BARROW PATIENCE RUNS OUT

BARROW say Andy Whing was sacked because his team’s performances did not justify the owners’ investment.
The League Two side signed 16 new players in the summer, including ex-Preston forward Tom Barkhuizen and former Nottingham Forest striker Tyler Walker.
But they won just five league games this season under Whing, with Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat at home to Tranmere extending the Bluebirds’ winless run to six matches and leaving them just four points above the relegation zone.
