Walker: U’s Already Feels Like Home

SAM WALKER has revealed he didn’t have to think twice after making a permanent switch to .

The 22-year-old has been on-loan at from since January 2013 but is now their permanent player for the next 18-months.

Walker moved to the for a six-figure fee when he was just 15 but failed to make a senior appearance for the giants.

The 6ft 5ins keeper had spells on loan with , , and  but has loved life under Joe Dunne at Colchester.

“It’s always felt right here and there was no hesitation to come here on a permanent basis,” said Walker.

“I’m really pleased to be a Colchester player permanently and this is a chance for me to really make a mark.

“I had a great grounding at Chelsea and learnt so much but the time was right to move on and I’m excited about the future.”
