Port Vale subject of takeover bid from IT company

Recently relegated have been the subject of a bid by an IT company to buy the club, according to BBC .

The sunk into last weekend after they could only draw with promotion chasing , and were flung into further limbo when chairman announced on Tuesday that he was standing down.

However, there looks to be some light at the end of the tunnel, with interest arising from a number of sectors, including Burslem based IT company Synectics Solutions, who have made an offer of £1.25 million.

That figure is the same as what Smurthwaite paid when taking over at the club in 2012, with business partner Paul Wildes, as they bought Port out of administration.

With of a takeover bid, Vale are certainly set for a busy summer and have already starting planning for life in the bottom tier of English league .

On Tuesday, it was announced that former caretaker boss Michael had been handed the job at Vale Park on a full-time basis, while in recent days two of Brown’s favoured midfielders have committed their futures to the club.

Experienced midfielder Danny Pugh, who has been ever-present for the Valiants since January, signed a new deal with the club on Thursday, and today, young Welshman Danny Reeves also agreed a 12-month contract extension.
