‘s teenage midfielder Michael Olise remains a top priority for United manager Marcelo Bielsa.

academy product Olise has been moved up on Leeds’ list of targets at his position, after their pursuit of Bayern Munich star Michael Cuisance collapsed at the final hurdle due to a failed medical.

And while countryman Cuisance secured a move to the top flight in France with Marseille, Olise stands to be offered a move to the following some fine form for Reading this season.

The 18-year-old has turned heads in all nine of the Royals’ nine games so far, scoring twice and contributing three assists.

Previously touted to be on the radar of , , Borussia Dortmund and Napoli, Olise has 18 months left on his contract which currently carries an £8m release clause according to Insider.

When asked about Olise’s future, Royals boss Veljko Paunovic was direct in quashing the matter of interest from a number of European heavyweights.

“It’s the first time I’ve heard about it so no comments. We’re working with him and everyone else to improve our team,” Paunovic said.

“Right now I have nothing to say about that.”

Olise has made 37 first-team appearances for Reading despite not turning 19 until December.
