Graham Westley: Don’t take Alex Revell and Stevenage for granted

I am constantly asked what I think about Stevenage’s charge to the top of League One. With a 46 per cent win rate across 492 games in the Stevenage dugout, I guess people think I ought to be qualified to have a view!

I am constantly asked what I think about Stevenage’s charge to the top of League One. With a 46 per cent win rate across 492 games in the Stevenage dugout, I guess people think I ought to be qualified to have a view!

Alex Revell was, of course, a coach forced upon me when I served in my final 15 game spell at the club in 2019-20.
He tried his hand in the hotseat following my departure, winning just 26 per cent of his 77 games before being dismissed.
Honestly, that didn’t surprise me. I didn’t think he was ready for coaching and certainly not for management.
