Victor Torp scored his fifth goal of the season in Coventry City’s 3-0 win over Birmingham City last weekend, prompting Frank Lampard to offer a very familiar analysis of his Danish midfielder.
“He scores all sorts of goals,” said the Sky Blues boss. “And he’s so keen to improve, listen and learn.
“He’s just a really smart, technically good football player who’s got all the great attributes for an all-round midfielder.”
Rewind 20 years, and those words might have been Jose Mourinho or Harry Redknapp describing Lampard.
