If Neil’s is a red, all refs need to do same

Anyone who has ever played football will understand why Tony Mowbray was so frustrated by the red card shown to Dan Neil in Sunderland’s 4-0 defeat to Middlesbrough last week.
Irritated by Jarred Gillett’s failure to award Sunderland a free-kick, Neil turned to the ref and yelled ‘That’s another f***ing foul’. Gillett produced a yellow card, Neil’s second of the game, and the 21-yearold was heading for a half-time shower.
