Graham Alexander paid the price for MK Dons’ dramatic collapse, but he was onto a loser from the start.
Named manager of the month after winning four out of five games in August, Alexander was sacked in the wake of last weekend’s 2-2 draw at home to Barrow, the Dons’ eighth consecutive game without a victory and one they had led 2-0 until the 93rd minute.
“I can’t defend losing the three points,” said the 52-year-old in his final interview. “It’s not as if we’re a bunch of kids who haven’t played football before.”
