As Rick Parry and the EFL ponder the future of the Carabao Cup, they would be well advised to consult some of the 32,000 Newcastle fans who slogged their way to Wembley last weekend.
A lucky few bagged train tickets. Others crawled by coach. So scarce was any form of transport that several were forced to fly.
