Berge must improve to seize potential

Sander Berge, Sheffield United’s towering midfielder, showed again last weekend why he can be such an infuriating player.

Pace aside, the Norwegian has it all. Height, power, incredible technique and vision.

Yet for 45 minutes against Watford, he drifted through the game like he was daydreaming of the fjords.

Ability alone dictates that the 25-year-old will play for an elite team at some point, but if Berge could add aggression and consistency to his already formidable skillset, he has the potential to be the next Yaya Toure.
